$10,500 raised for charity on New Year’s Eve

Our New Year’s Eve guests helped us raise $10,050!

New Year’s Eve is one of the biggest nights in the restaurant industry, and while our guests were having fun enjoying their meals, they were also making a difference. Our team decided to serve up our most extravagant meals yet (12 courses at $150), and to donate all of the sales to charities that focus on subjects dear to our hearts. Being sold out within a matter of days was encouraging, and seeing over $10,000 raised was truly spectacular.

We are so grateful to be able to provide the dining experience that we do, and excited to be celebrating our first year of service. Here are the charities that our team selected:

FoodShare
FoodShare works with communities and schools to deliver healthy food and food education. We believe everyone deserves access to affordable high-quality fresh food. Since 1985, FoodShare has pioneered innovative programs like the Good Food Box, impacted what kids eat in school, and improved the way people eat and grow food across Toronto every day.

GoodFoodHelp

A discreet, compassionate, peer-to-peer initiative that aims to deliver healthful, nutritious parcels of food to Toronto residents who are experiencing instances of food insecurity.

Second Harvest
Second Harvest works across the supply chain from farmer to retail to capture surplus food before it ends up in the landfill which negatively impacts our environment. While drastically reducing the amount of food currently lost or wasted, we ensure people have access to good healthy food – nutrition that every person needs to flourish.

The Stop
For over 30 years, The Stop has been at the forefront of dignified, innovative programs that provide access to healthy food; build skills, health, hope, and community; and confront the underlying issues that lead to poverty and hunger. Our wide range of programs include drop-in meals, a food bank, community kitchens and gardens, perinatal and family support, civic engagement, and children and youth engagement.

Toronto Vegetarian Food Bank
The TVFB provides healthy, environmentally-responsible and cruelty-free food to vegetarians in need.

Wishing Well Animal Sanctuary
Located near Bradford Ontario, Wishing Well Sanctuary is home to over 70 animals including roosters, ducks, cows, pigs, goats, donkeys, horses, sheep, and a llama named Lightning.
